Watch - QuickTime (High quality / 4.6Mb)
Synopsis
A street artist is desperate for attention, in a World obsessed with violence for entertainment, but what's the pose that'll get it?
Background
Cobra Beer are running an all year round competition for ten 5 second short films - all with a theme that will run throughout each film. They will show before a commercial break and after they finish during Cobra Vision sponsored films on ITV2 and ITV3.
There are 200 places to fill and at time of writing there are 151 places still available. If our film does any good it will actually end up on the box.
Concept: A street artist on the promenade on a white box, dressed in white painted suit, shoes, shirt, face, hat, the works, stands perfectly still.
He's standing there hoping to get the attention of passers by. It's not working. He changes position in to something more "interesting".
As more passers by ignore him, he develops his stances in to more and more interesting positions. Eventually, as a last resort, he gets in to a position so dangerous, so unstable, it's questionable whether he'll even be able to hold...he crashes and falls, knocking himself unconscious - strangely secreting white paint for blood from his head.
As he lies on the ground next to his box, people gather around him interested as to what this mess is.
