Attacks on London

July 7, 2005 @ 7:53pm

Today is a sad day. This blog has no relation to films what so ever, but relates to me, Londoners, people in Britain and people across the World. London, today was a target of a terrorist attack.

Three tubes were bombed and one bus was ripped to shreds. They are currently suggesting that the attacks were al-Qaeda, and a cowardly attack when the World leaders are meeting for the G8 summit. I'm not any kind of authority on this stuff, but some things I read today made a lot of sense:

Ken Livingston (Mayor of London), said Londoners would remain strong "no matter how many people you kill".

He said: "Black and white, Muslim and Christian, Hindus and Jews, young and old. It was an indiscriminate attempt to slaughter, irrespective of any considerations for age, class, religion whatever."

We will continue life, as normal, trains and tubes will run, airports will fly, shops will open, and we remain defiant in the face of terrorism.

This blog is as a mark of respect to those who have lost - and I want to be part of the country that stands strong and upright against this terrorism.
